Benedict Cumberbatch’s Marvel/Celebrity Work Ethic is Unmatched
Oscar Nominee Benedict Cumberbatch delivers in The Power of the Dog and will be starring in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will air in March 2022.
There are some actors you become bored of seeing all over the place (ahem, Ryan Reynolds). Cumberbatch could fit into this category But what distinguishes him is the diversity of his characters. He appeared in four major films last year, and only one of the films was a Marvel film (Spider-Man: No Way Home).
The Power of the Dog is a film that portrays Benedict Cumberbatch as an aspiring Montana rancher. The actor has been nominated to win the Best Actor award. Cumberbatch stands behind his performance in the Western movie, in spite of Sam Elliott having reservations about its “allusions to homosexuality” and New Zealand filming. The film recently won Best Picture at EE British Academy Film Award. Also known as BAFTA’s. Jane Campion, director of the film, was also named the distinction of Best Director. This marks the third time that a woman director has won the award in its history.
Cumberbatch has recently been awarded the Hollywood Walk of Fame star. Cumberbatch is currently at the top of Marvel Cinematic Universe, as Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. have quit the world of comic book movies. Kevin Feige, Marvel’s mastermind, was on hand to give a few words.
“Benedict has transformed his character into an icon who has appeared in three of the most acclaimed six films ever. It’s been quite a ride,” Feige said.
Cumberbatch will have plenty to chew on in the event that he’s going play as a major role in the next movies as we believe. Multiverse of Madness, directed by Spider-Man director Sam Raimi will be Cumberbatch’s part as Dr. Strange as he deals with alternate realities following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. MCU stars like Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Baron Karl Mordo), and Benedict Wong (Wong) will be featured in the movie.
It just seems like an overwhelming task for one person to accomplish. Cumberbatch does not seem to think about it as he’s already accepted four new projects and is currently filming one in the present.
